Botulinum toxin for perspiration in the scalp

Botulinum toxin for hair

While capillary oiliness can be controlled using a salicylic acid shampoo, perspiration on the scalp requires another type of treatment.

According to the American magazine Beauty Magazine, botulinum toxin, used to treat excessive perspiration in the feet, palms and armpits, can also be applied to the scalp.

A treatment with three or four injections of botulinum toxin may show a good improvement in sweating of the scalp. To maintain the result, two to three applications per year are recommended.
